Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Avocado Chocolate Mousse - Lara Fay Activewear
Chocolate Avocado Mousse – This velvety chocolate mousse recipe has all the delicious flavour you’re looking for and an ingredient list you’re going to love! (Refined sugar-free, dairy-free). Say hello to decadent, ultra-delicious chocolate mousse made from avos! This Chocolate Avocado Mousse has an intensely chocolate flavor, decadent texture, and works on its own as a pudding or as an incredible fruit dip.
If you’ve never tried avocado chocolate mousse before, this healthy recipe will take you completely by surprise!
It is rich and silky smooth… and you really can’t taste the avocado. Honestly the avocadoes create a creamy texture but you wouldn't know they are the bulk of this scrumptious dessert.

INGREDIENTS

2 large ripe avocados, peeled and stoned (You don’t want anything hard or under-ripe here, since the texture and flavor won’t work well for mousse)
3–4 tbsp runny honey, to taste (organic pure honey if possible)
1 tsp vanilla extract (Vanilla plays a key role in the flavor here)
50g raw cacao powder

METHOD

Put the avocados into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Add 3 tablespoons of the honey with the vanilla and cacao powder and blend again until completely combined. Taste and add more honey if necessary.
Spoon the mousse into 8 shot or sweet wine glasses and put them into the fridge for an hour before serving.

HERE ARE SOME FUN TOPPING IDEAS:

Coconut Whipped Cream (or Traditional Whipped Cream if you don’t have dietary restrictions)
Fresh Berries–strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries.
Shaved or Chopped Chocolate. Extra chocolate is always a plus!
Cacao NibsIf you want a little crunch without added sugar. (Be aware: cacao nibs are unsweetened + can run bitter if you’re not used to them!)
Toasted HazelnutsSort of gives this a Nutella vibe!
Peanut Butter. If you’re a peanut butter fan, a bit of natural peanut butter drizzled over your chocolate avocado mousse is delicious!
